Henry Castner of Lake Travis Cavaliers Reviews Basketball Trainer Chris Corbett

Lake Travis basketball trainerKnowledge of the game, honest assessment of skill, and improvement of skills is what your child will experience if they get the chance to train and learn from Chris Corbett.  Chris is one of the top player development coaches in Central Texas and believes workouts should be extremely productive but also fun.

Basketball Trainer for Vandegrift High School PlayerChris Corbett trains all 3 of my kids from age 12-16. His knowledge of the game at all levels help each one of my kids development in basketball. As a former collegiate player (at University of  North Texas)  & now a parent, I finally found a basketball trainer that I trust completely with my kids & their basketball development.

Review of Austin Youth Basketball Training by Tim Peters

Lake Travis basketball trainer“Chris made a world of difference for my son Trevor Peters  in a very short time preparing him for varsity basketball at Lake Travis High School.  It was amazing to see Trevor develop exponentially through Chris’ focus on both the physical and mental aspects of the game.  That balanced approach made the difference.   Further, Chris’ high integrity approach to life makes it easy to recommend him for helping any youth wanting to better their game…and perspective on life.”

Austin Basketball Trainer Reviewed by Lake Travis Basketball Parent

Lake Travis Basketball Parent Reviews Basketball Training

Lake Travis basketball trainerMy 17-year old son Henry started working with Chris in the spring of 2010, after completing his Freshman year of basketball at Lake Travis High School, and it has been an amazing experience for both of us. Henry has matured as a player and person through his workouts and conversations with Chris.
I still remember the first time we met when Chris started by putting Henry through an extensive warm-up session to make sure he didn’t injure any of his joints, especially his knees and ankles.  Chris took the time to get to know Henry’s mindset for basketball, his work ethic, his personality, and his current skill level.
He chatted with Henry, asked lots of questions, and then he put together a comprehensive program to reinforce the good things Henry was doing and correcting flaws.  Chris started adding skills and repertoire to Henry’s offensive abilities and has allowed Henry to improve his offensive game considerably.
Henry played on the varsity his sophomore year and is now getting ready for his Junior year.  He has continued to work with Chris every week, learning new offensive moves to attack the basket, improve his shooting, and play better defense.  Chris has continued to speak with Henry about playing the game with intensity, how to prepare for the next level (college), and how to treat coaches and teammates with respect.
Henry and Chris have a great relationship that includes just the right amount of encouragement, correction, and enthusiasm so that Henry continues to make tremendous progress in his basketball career.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Chris Corbett as a basketball teacher for anyone looking to improve their game.

Billy Sherakas Reviews Austin Basketball Training With Chris Corbett

billy sherakas austin basketball trainingChris’s work outs are very productive in the way that he gets to know your game and out from that he has lots of different basketball drills to improve your game in the areas that you need. From offensive moves to defense and even little details, such as foot work and even tells you how to switch things up so you don’t become an easy player to read on the court.

From personal experience, I thought I knew quite a bit about Basketball, but Chris has played so many places and with different basketball players that he knows every aspect of the game and can help anyone improve in any way. Shooting, ball handling skill, defense and how to approach the game. Chris wont lie to you about your game either, he is there to get your game better and not there to just tell you “good job” even though he will when you are doing well.   He is a very positive coach and great to work with, I enjoyed working with him this summer a lot.
