Lake Travis Basketball Parent Reviews Basketball Training
My 17-year old son Henry started working with Chris in the spring of 2010, after completing his Freshman year of basketball at Lake Travis High School, and it has been an amazing experience for both of us. Henry has matured as a player and person through his workouts and conversations with Chris.
I still remember the first time we met when Chris started by putting Henry through an extensive warm-up session to make sure he didn’t injure any of his joints, especially his knees and ankles. Chris took the time to get to know Henry’s mindset for basketball, his work ethic, his personality, and his current skill level.
He chatted with Henry, asked lots of questions, and then he put together a comprehensive program to reinforce the good things Henry was doing and correcting flaws. Chris started adding skills and repertoire to Henry’s offensive abilities and has allowed Henry to improve his offensive game considerably.
Henry played on the varsity his sophomore year and is now getting ready for his Junior year. He has continued to work with Chris every week, learning new offensive moves to attack the basket, improve his shooting, and play better defense. Chris has continued to speak with Henry about playing the game with intensity, how to prepare for the next level (college), and how to treat coaches and teammates with respect.
Henry and Chris have a great relationship that includes just the right amount of encouragement, correction, and enthusiasm so that Henry continues to make tremendous progress in his basketball career.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Chris Corbett as a basketball teacher for anyone looking to improve their game.
