Stealth 16U Select Basketball | Austin Youth Basketball

Austin Youth Basketball Presents

STEALTH

16U Boys Select Basketball

12 players. Professional coaching. Measurable skill development.
This isn’t another team that just plays games.
This is where players get better — and we prove it.

Spring / Summer 2026 Southwest Austin Limited Roster
The Problem

Most Select Programs Play Games.
They Don’t Develop Players.

You’ve been through it. You pay $1,500, $2,000, maybe more — and your kid plays in tournaments every weekend. But does he actually get better? Can anyone show you where he improved? Can they tell you what he needs to work on?

Most programs can’t. They schedule games. They manage rosters. They collect checks. That’s not player development. That’s basketball tourism.

Your son is at a critical stage. The gap between a good high school player and a recruited player comes down to skill development — the kind that’s coached, measured, and tracked over time. That’s what Stealth exists to deliver.

Our Philosophy
Passion|Purpose|Power

For the player. For the teammates. For the game.

Stealth is built on the belief that real improvement comes from science, structure, and a relentless growth mindset. We use kaizen — the Japanese principle of continuous improvement — as our framework. Every practice, every drill, every rep has a purpose. We focus on the improvement curve: where you are today, where you need to be, and the specific work to close that gap.

We believe in effort and motor. We believe in trying new things. We believe the players who commit to the process will be better for the long game — not just this season, but for their high school careers and beyond.

Development isn’t a promise. It’s a measurement.
What Makes Stealth Different

We Measure Everything.
Your Son Will See His Own Improvement.

Every player gets baseline tested and re-tested throughout the season. Results go on the whiteboard — visible, transparent, real. No vague claims. No “he’s doing great.” Numbers. Percentages. Progress.

Our target: 30% measurable improvement across key performance areas during the Stealth season.

Shooting

3-point catch & shoot, curl cut shooting, star drill movement shooting, transition shooting, pull-up jumpers, free throws

Finishing

X-out layup drills — both hands, both sides, game-speed

Defense

Defensive slides timed with and without resistance bands — tracked for speed and endurance gains

Speed & Conditioning

17s for speed, suicides/lines with live dribbling, timed and charted

Athleticism

Bodyweight tracking, vertical leap measurement, functional strength baselines

The Whiteboard

Every player’s numbers are posted. You’ll see your improvement — and so will your teammates.

What Your Son Gets

This Is What $1,599 Buys.

Read this list carefully. Then compare it to any other program in Austin. We’ll wait.

  • Twice-weekly practices — Tuesdays 7:30–9:00 PM and Thursdays 7:00–8:00 PM with professional coaching
  • 6 competitive tournaments — late March through early June against top-level competition across Central Texas
  • 5 specialized clinics — shooting, scoring systems, D3 college recruiting roadmap, bodyweight training, and vertical jump performance
  • 1 private shooting lesson (1 hour) — one-on-one coaching with film review
  • Baseline testing + ongoing skill measurement — charted on the whiteboard, tracked for percentage improvement
  • Stealth team uniform — included separately ($200)
  • Maximum 12-player roster — your son isn’t getting lost. He’s getting coached.
Included Clinics

Five Clinics. Zero Extra Cost.

Each of these would cost $49–$100+ as a standalone. Stealth players get all five included in their program fee.

Shooting Clinic

Mechanics, footwork, catch-and-shoot rhythm, off-screen shooting, and game-speed reps. Coached and corrected in real time.

You Can Play D3 College Basketball — The Recruiting Roadmap

You’re talented. You can’t afford $3,000–$10,000 recruiting services. You deserve the same D3 recruiting knowledge wealthy families pay for — free. This clinic gives you the step-by-step roadmap to get recruited at the D3 level.

20 Steps to Scoring 20 PPG

A system-based approach to becoming a consistent scorer. Not just “shoot more” — the reads, the footwork, the decision-making, and the mentality behind putting up 20 every night.

Bodyweight Training for Basketball

Functional strength, injury prevention, and basketball-specific conditioning — no gym membership required. Every participant receives access to the full video training course to continue at home.

Vertical Jump Performance Workshop

Hands-on coaching on proper jump mechanics, hip-arm coordination, safe plyometric training, and power development. Every participant receives full access to our Vertical Jump Training video program. Learn more →

Your Coaches

College Players. Professional Trainers.
They’ve Been Where Your Son Wants to Go.

Chris Corbett

Head Coach & Program Director

Chris is the founder of BasketballTrainer.com, AustinYouthBasketball.com, and co-founder of BasketballHQ.com and CoachTube.com — some of the largest basketball development platforms in the country. He’s an EA certified basketball coach with USA Basketball who has helped over 200 players reach college programs.

A former college point guard at the University of Maine at Fort Kent who grew up on the playgrounds of Queens, New York, Chris brings decades of experience in player development with a focus on measurable improvement, skill science, and the growth mindset required to compete at the next level.

At 60, Chris still competes in European masters basketball tournaments. He understands what it means to love the game for life — and he coaches accordingly.

Tavarski “Ski” Wardlow

Co-Coach & Assistant Coach

Ski has trained alongside Chris for 10 years and knows the Stealth player development system inside and out. A former college point guard, Ski brings elite defensive coaching, an infectious energy, and a rare combination of kindness and competitive fire that players respond to immediately.

Ski has served as a camp counselor, AAU head coach for Austin Youth Basketball, and head coach with Pro Skills — one of the most respected select programs in the country. He will co-coach and serve as head coach for select tournaments throughout the season.

Kids love Ski. Parents trust him. And defenders don’t want to see him on the other bench.

For Parents

What We Ask of Your Family

Stealth isn’t a drop-off program. We need your son committed, and we need your family bought in. Here’s what we expect:

  • Players attend all practices and tournaments. If there’s a conflict, communicate early.
  • Be on time. Practices start on time. Tournaments start on time. Respect the clock.
  • Trust the process. Skill development doesn’t happen in one weekend. We’re building toward 30% improvement over the season.
  • Let us coach. We welcome questions — but sideline coaching during games and practices isn’t part of the deal.
  • Support the team, not just your player. Stealth families cheer for everyone.
  • Communicate directly with Coach Corbett if issues arise. No group chat drama. Pick up the phone.
Questions

FAQ

What if my son has to miss a tournament?

Life happens. Communicate with Coach Corbett as early as possible. We build the roster to compete, and we need everyone available — but we understand family comes first.

Is there guaranteed playing time?

We don’t guarantee minutes. We guarantee development. Players who show up, compete in practice, and bring effort will play. This is a meritocracy — and that’s how it should be.

What level of competition is this?

This is a competitive select program. Players were selected through tryouts and cuts have already been made. We compete against top programs across Central Texas in established tournament circuits.

My son plays on a school team too. Is that a conflict?

Not at all. Stealth is designed to complement school ball. Our spring/summer schedule runs outside the high school season, and the skills we develop translate directly to school performance.

What if we can’t afford the full fee?

Text Coach Corbett at 512-921-4444. We’ll get on a call and figure it out. Talent and commitment shouldn’t be limited by budget.

How do I know my son is actually improving?

Because we’ll show you. Skill testing is done at the start of the season and tracked throughout. Results are posted on the whiteboard — shooting percentages, speed times, defensive slide benchmarks, vertical leap, all of it. You’ll have data, not opinions.
