Why This Workshop Exists
Division III basketball recruiting is widely misunderstood.
I’m Chris Corbett — a basketball trainer, select coach, and the father of a Division III player and another signee. I’ve helped many players reach high-academic D3 programs, and I’ve watched just as many capable players miss opportunities they never knew were realistic.
Not because they weren’t good enough —
but because no one clearly explained the process.
This workshop exists to do exactly that.
Who This Is For
- High school basketball players (grades 9–12) considering college basketball
- Parents who want realistic, honest guidance
- Especially valuable for:
- Strong students
- Late bloomers
- Players without recruiting services
This is not a tryout and not only for elite players.
What You’ll Learn in the Workshop
1. How D3 Recruiting Actually Works
- How D3 differs from D1 and D2
- Why academics matter as much as basketball
- How coaches and admissions work together
2. How Players Get on Coaches’ Radar
- Why waiting to be “found” usually fails
- How players should contact coaches
- What coaches actually look for in emails and film
3. How to Build the Right College List
- Athletic fit
- Academic fit
- Financial reality
- Why right fit matters more than chasing labels
4. What to Do Next (By Grade)
- Freshmen & sophomores: what matters now
- Juniors: critical timing and outreach windows
- Seniors: realistic paths still available
Players leave knowing who to contact and what to say.
Parents leave with clarity and peace of mind.
What Makes This Different: The Toolkit (Included)
Your registration includes full access to the paid D3 Basketball Recruiting Roadmap Toolkit. Our training, advice, and mentoring has helped many players on their path. We don’t take credit for their success, but are glad we played a small part. Here are some of the college basketball programs they have gone on to:
Macalester College- Trinity College
- Hardin Simmons
- MIT
- Cambridge University
- Williams College
- Kenyon College (for 2026)
- Rhodes College
- Illinois Tech
- Patrick Henry College
- Texas Women’s University
- Wayland Baptist University
- Portland University
- Columbia University
- University of Texas
- University of Maine at Fort Kent
This is not just information.
It’s a working system families can actually use. In fact, my daughter Charlee Corbett helped me build this toolkit as she curated and templated all of the tools, scripts, sales and marketing tools as she was pursuing her college basketball dreams. Charlee received multiple college basketball offers and is thrilled to become a Kenyon College Owl next year.
The Toolkit Delivers:
- A step-by-step D3 recruiting roadmap
- College coach email templates (intro, follow-ups, updates)
- Phone call scripts so players know exactly what to say
- A D3 school-list framework to identify realistic opportunities
- Recruiting timelines & checklists to avoid missed windows
- Tracking tools to stay organized and consistent
- Division III admissions & pre-read guidance families rarely hear
You’ll see how the toolkit works during the workshop —
and you’ll keep access afterward so you can implement at your own pace.
This is the same system families often pay thousands of dollars for through private recruiting consultants — delivered clearly, ethically, and responsibly.

A Note to Players
If college basketball is even maybe on your radar, this workshop will help you avoid mistakes and wasted time.
You don’t need to be elite. You do need to have talent and…
You do need to understand the process.
A Note to Coaches
This workshop is designed to support coaches, not replace them.
When players understand recruiting, communication improves and stress drops — for everyone. High School coaches do not have the time to be recruiting experts and agents. And college basketball players want to hear from you, not your coach.
Core belief: Players don’t always get outplayed — they get out-accessed.
